Wow! What an honor to be recognized as the chamber’s member of the month. It’s been really rewarding over the past few years to be involved with our chamber of commerce, not only watching the chamber organization grow and mature, but in developing so many personal relationships with so many fine people in our community. Our business started as Allegra Print & Imaging in March 2008 in our current location on Hwy. 46 in Faithville, and we quickly got involved with our chamber (thank you Rhonda Zunker.) We just concluded a good 2010 year, with sales improving over 2009, and are now focusing on some changes in the business, all driven by you, our customers’ needs for our marketing support services.

My wife Traci and I have lived in the area since 2001, starting in Spring Branch, and now with Megan (8) and Nash (6) in Bulverde. We love this community. When we started our business, and the turn away from over two decades of a corporate career, we wanted to work in a business everyday that was truly part of the fabric of the community we lived, played and prayed in. I smile every time I think about that, because at the time, those were just words – nice thoughts – good ideas. Now, we’re living the life of small business owners whose lives are interwoven with our great team members throughout the community – what a terrific change for us! (And thank you to our team for helping us climb towards success: Jessica Adams, Art Cruz, and Krista Clark.) The chamber of commerce has had a lot to do with the startup success of our business in the last three years. Most of our customers are chamber members – most of them found us in one way or another because of our affiliation with the chamber. As we make some changes in our business in 2011 (modified brand name, new equipment, new and broader marketing activities, new staff, new website…) we’re looking forward to some things staying the same. Like our opportunity to work with and for the chamber of commerce, and with and for each of you that have become Allegra customers.
